One night a rift awakens as she descends on a lost child. red light penetrating the ground And when I open my eyes again Her body was never the same.
Lalin's floating portion carried her through the strait. She can still think, speak, and remember the names of people she knows. But the shock of others always came before her voice. Lalin hid near the dye factory. Spending the night returning to the same room to collect needles and shirts that had been repaired. She didn't dare pick up the food. Afraid that their disappearance would be used to confirm horrible things about themselves.
A neighbor named Duean was the one who found her. Duean was so shocked that he dropped the lantern. But when he heard Lalin complain about the seams that Duen liked to sew, he stopped running. The two didn't immediately hug each other. They talked through the door many nights. Learn what remains the same and what needs to be adjusted. Duean helped make a sign for the way back that Lalin could see when he was confused by the bright light.

But the child she had helped disappeared again in the room under the dye factory. So she returns to the place that changed her life. Even though he was still afraid of the sound of the door cracking, he trembled.
Lalin saw a passage of energy beneath the wall and was able to pass through to the child. But the hunter's searchlight led her astray. She told the child that she was scared and needed help reading the sign Duan had made for her. The child took the time to call out the street names one by one. Lalin followed the voice without pretending to know all the ways.
Nineteenth year Netdao and Nirach arrived following a missing persons report. They found Lalin using his floating heart light to point out the wall where the imprint machine was hidden. Netdao asked first how I should call her. Don't ask what you are Lalin told his full name for the first time in front of strangers after that incident. Her voice trembled. But no one rushed to speak up.

She asks that a travel partner always remember an alternate route. and refuses missions that use his appearance to frighten the villagers. New abilities are things she can learn. But it shouldn't make other people take away the right to decide her life.
before leaving Duen returned the shirt that Lalin had repaired with one seam crooked. “Left for you to come back and complain about,” she said. Lalin laughed and put the needles into the box. She also wanted to find a way to understand her transformation. But life doesn't have to wait until it returns to the way it was before it can begin.
